How does the billing system work?

Once a customer orders mowing service, we email a monthly invoice for services and so on. Once the customer pays the total monthly invoice then the customer is set for the month. We understand that some customers are on a budget and would prefer to pay each service separately, however life can get hectic and remembering to pay a day before scheduled services by 5pm can sometimes be forgotten. Due to the large amount of customers it can become difficult for the office to remind each client to pay on time and avoid service interruptions.If the customer orders other services besides mowing they are billed the same way, but only once instead of monthly.

How does the scheduling work?

The crew at Great Greens is scheduled to work Monday through Saturday. Rarely -does the crew work on Sundays, that only happens if the week had extreme rain and they need to catch up. In that case those customers affected by the schedule change will be notified via email or phone call. Our crew works until 6pm every day. We try to have a two hour time window; however we do add customers during the week, so your time might not be always the same. Usually, your schedule date and time will remind the same for your convenience, especially for those customers with locked gates and pets.

What are the payment options?

  • Monthly automatic payment with credit card on file. (Highly recommended, less hassles to both parties.)
  • Online payments
  • Over the phone payments, by calling the office at (815) 846-4228.
  • On the spot mobile payments with credit card.
  • On the spot cash payments.
  • Check or money order, Make check payable to Great Greens lawn maintenance. Check should be received before the due date on your invoice or on the service day.
  • PayPal payments.
  • Most of our customers use the automatic payment option, holding your credit/debit card on file make it easy for you and for us. We will charge your credit/debit card only for that month’s service. (The customer agrees to pay the charges according to their credit/debit card terms.) Charges to your credit/debit card will be charged a day prior to your invoice’s due date. For those customers that rather pay online themselves, please be advised that the invoices that will be sent to you have a due date, and that due date needs to be honored to avoid late fees. The customers can pay the whole season and get a 10% appreciation discount. A $5.00 late fee will be applied for those invoices not paid on time, the very next day the invoice was due.

How often do you offer mowing?

  • Weekly

If you would like to maintain a healthy lawn, then we recommend a weekly cut. Not only does it maintain a better manicured appearance but weeds are less likely to take over your grass.

Does the crew clean dog waste?

We prefer if your lawn is clear of dog waste when the lawn services are being done, unfortunately our crew is not prepared or trained to dispose of dog waste and will not pick it up. They will simply cut over it. Help us avoid cross contamination by picking up your pets waste before your lawn gets serviced.

Do I need to be present at the time of the service?

Probably not, if your payment has been submitted you are good to go. Any special notes should be added at the time of purchase or discussed with the office to assure that they are passed on to the crew.

  • If you have a locked gate, please leave the door unlocked, we will make sure to locked it when we finish. If we can not access your property due to a locked gate, a $15.00 fuel charge will be applied to your account.
  • We love pets, but we prefer your pets to be inside the house when we service your lawn.
